An adult story generator that remembers what it wrote
If you have used an AI story generator for more than an evening, you have met the problem this page is about. The story forgets. Not the last line; the last line is always fine. It forgets the middle. The sister who was the whole reason for the affair is gone by chapter six. The rule the two of them made in chapter two is broken in chapter seven without anyone noticing. A dead character walks in. You can patch it by hand, reminding the model every time, and some tools give you good ways to do that. But then you are the one doing the remembering, and the thing you wanted, to read, has turned into a job.
What DesireBorn remembers, and how
Between sections, DesireBorn keeps a story state separate from the prose. It holds the people and what is known about each of them, what has been established as true, which threads are open and what has been planted for later, along with a running digest of what has happened so far. When the engine writes the next section it works from that state, not from a hope that the important part of the text is still within reach.
The plan is part of the memory. Before the first section, DesireBorn writes an outline: an ending it is aiming for and a beat for each section. A story that knows where it is going does not need to be reminded what it was for.
And the memory is session to session, not just section to section. Close the app on Tuesday, come back on Sunday, and the story is where you left it, with its state intact. Your starting idea, your earlier choices and everything that has happened so far still shape what happens next. Nothing has to be re-explained.
What you steer, and what you do not have to
After every section there is a field. Write a sentence in it, "let him find the letter", "slow the tension down", "bring her sister back", and the next section is written with that direction added to everything the story already holds. Leave it open, and the engine continues from the state on its own. Both are legitimate ways to read. If the story has got something wrong about a character, a correction in that field is carried forward from there.
The story can also grow past its plan. Reach the ending the outline was aiming for, decide you want more, and it plans onward from what actually happened.
What remembering is not
Since the word can be misread on a site like this one: remembering is about the story, not about you. The story state exists inside the story and is stored with it, encrypted. It is not a profile of your preferences, it is not used to recommend anything, and no screen on our side can display it. Your stories are encrypted at rest. We can read them to write them. Nobody else can read them.
An example of memory doing its work
It was the first time he had called her by her sister's name, and she waited to see whether he would notice. He did not. He kept talking, one hand on the gate, about the fence line, and she thought of the night in the barn three weeks ago when he had said it was over with Ada, and she understood that whatever it was, it was not over, and that she had known since the barn.

What it writes
Long-form adult fiction between adults, planned and written section by section, at an explicitness level you set per story. One line is enough to start; people, dynamic, tone, point of view and the rest are optional, and whatever you leave open is chosen to fit your idea. Everything lawful between consenting adults is fair game. One limit is fixed: every character in a sexual context is an adult. It cannot be turned off, softened or configured, by you or by us. No shame. Not no limits.
